Debut Post!

I'm so excited to join the TOOL community and officially begin the process of becoming qualified to teach with Georgia Virtual School. What better way to begin this journey than starting a fresh, new blog!?

I have been using Student Blogs in my AP English Language & Composition classroom for the last four years. My students used their blogs as a platform to share their Creative Writing and reflections over Independent Reading assignments. Last year, my students also used their blogs as a way to share their insight on current events. Allowing my students to use blogs genuinely revolutionized my Language Arts classroom. As a result, I am a huge advocate for student blogging across the curriculum. I have even given several professional presentations about Student Blogs----

I have been guiding my students through the EduBlogs set-up process for years, so I wasn't surprised at all that the Blogger interface was just as quick and easy. I really look forward to work in the TOOL community and potentially joining in on the awesome things happening with Georgia Virtual School.
